New Home – Tuttle Street
Clarendon Hills, Illinois

This intimate home yields a far larger footprint that one would think from looking at the quaint, Old World styling and scale. With four levels of finished space, this home has over 6,000 s.f. tucked inside it.

Cement stucco, Douglas Fir timbers, and bluestone tiles complete the outside elements, making this an extremely charming look. The interior has a contrast of clean lines and old world materials, adding interest throughout the home. A coffered ceiling of Douglas Fir beams in the family room (some weighing as much as 600 lbs. each) is the highlight of the home.

The vertical nature of the home is pleasantly disguised with a signature sloping roof, flowing out into curves to create the front porch. This home was the first one done by Merlino as spec home, and is a labor of love.

Sold before completion, we still have special feelings for this home as one of our favorites.
